Seattle, Washington, January 15, 2007 — Lumen ID, LLC, a Seattle based architectural engraving company, launched the nation’s first comprehensive website where customers can configure and order custom engraved switch plates. Lumen ID’s custom engraved switch plates feature clear labeling of the function of each switch or electrical device. Over 650 different switch plates are offered through their online ordering system at www.LumenID.com.
The website features a simple 5-step ordering process that guides the customer through the complex variety of switch plates available to arrive at the exact product the customer needs.
“There are an incredible number of switch plates to choose from. While we wanted to include as many different configurations as possible, we didn’t want to make the ordering process complicated or confusing. We spent a lot of time designing and testing our website to make the process as simple as possible” says Nazim Nice, founder of Lumen ID, and a practicing architect in the State of Washington.
The website features all the information needed to place an order, including an extensive gallery of products displaying examples of the different engraving styles and fonts available. The website also features examples of every paint fill combination, so there is no guessing what your color combination will look like.
Another unique feature is the ability to specify a foreign language for the text (or multiple languages if using the Doubletext™ style where one language could be engraved at the top, and another on the bottom).
For the instances when a customer needs a very specific switch plate configuration, switchplate manufacturer, or engraving style, the customer can call or email Lumen ID and in most cases the custom order plate can be produced.
