CHOOSING PAINT FILL COLOR TIPS

• For the best legibility, choose a color with the highest contrast to your switchplate color.

• For more subtle text, choose a color similar to the switchplate color.

• Choosing the same paint fill color as the switchplate color is not recommended. The text will not be very legible.

• White or black paint fill are the best choices for red plates.

• Brown, almond, and yellow work well on red plates and are legible.

• Blue, grey, burgundy, orange and red are not recommended on red plates.
