CHOOSING PAINT FILL COLOR TIPS

• For the best legibility, choose a color with the highest contrast to your switchplate color.

• For more subtle text, choose a color similar to the switchplate color.

• Choosing the same paint fill color as the switchplate color is not recommended. The text will not be very legible.

• Black paint fill is the most common choice on light colored switchplates such as ivory.

• Tip! Brown text looks great with almond and ivory switchplates.

• Blue, green and burgundy work well on ivory plates and are legible.

• For a subtle look, grey works well on ivory switchplates.

• Almond and white are not recommended for ivory plates (for light colored plates, always choose a color darker than the plate)

• Red and orange look better than yellow on ivory plates.
