Lumen ID's custom engraved wallplates are great for multigang wallplates or
locations where the function of switches is not logical (such as exterior lights
or lights that cannot be seen from the switching location). They are great for
homes, offices, restaurants, vacation homes, hotels, schools, hospitals and

We've tested our paint fill durability
with common household chemicals such as bleach, glass cleanings, and degreasers.
While we recommend cleaning our wallplates with a mild soap and water, our test
did not damage the paint fill. We do not recommend cleaning the wallplates with
abrasive cleaners or instruments, as they can damage the paint fill.
3. Is the text painted on

Plastic and nylon wallplates are engraved and then paint
filled. This helps protect the paint fill from damage because it is recessed
from the surface of the wallplate.
4. How durable is
the stainless steel marking? BACK TO

The stainless steel marking process
produces a permanent marking on the stainless steel that is very durable. These
wallplates are excellent for commercial installations, hospitals, labs, kitchens,
bathrooms, and any place where where having a clean smooth surface is desirable.
5. Are screws included

Yes, the necessary screws are included with every wallplate.
Plastic and nylon screws are color matched to the wallplate. Stainless steel
wallplates include matching steel screws.

Are switches included with the wallplates?BACK

No, switches and other devices installed within a wallplate are not included
with our custom engraved wallplates. When we show a photo or illustration including
a switch (or other device) it is for illustration purposes only.

I want to match my existing wallplates. How do I know if they are plastic or
nylon? BACK TO TOP
Nylon wallplates are extremely flexible and can be bent with little risk of
breaking them. If you can bend you wallplates when removed from the wall, you
probably have nylon wallplates. Nylon wallplates are available in a greater
variety of colors and also tend to have a glossier finish than most plastic
wallplates.

How do I know what size wallplates to order? BACK

The most common size wallplates are Standard, Midway, and
Oversized. Midway wallplates are 3/8" wider and taller than standard size.
Oversized wallplates are 3/4" wider and taller than standard size. The
larger sizes are useful for covering gaps that can occur around the perimeter
of the wallplate due to drywall (or other wall finish) not being installed tight
to the electrical box. For actual dimensions, see our size
chart to help you select the appropriate size.
While we have tried to include as many wallplates on our
website as possible, occasionally we may not have the exact style you need.

If your community recycles #5 plastics, then you may be able
to recycle your old wallplates. If you cannot recycle #5 plastics, you may look
into reusing your wallplates elsewhere in your home or donating them to a local
company that specializes in reusing building materials.
11. Can I send you my own wallplates
to engrave? BACK TO TOP
We currently only engrave new wallplates from our own distributors.
Various plastics require different engraving techniques and laser settings,
so at this time we are not able to accept wallplates of unknown origin or brand.
12. Is there a maximum
or minimum quantity per order? BACK

No, there is no minimum or maximum quantity required per
order. Naturally, larger orders will take longer to produce. Please contact
us if you have a questions about how long an order will take.
13. How long does it take
to produce my order? BACK TO TOP
Currently our order processing time is 5-7 business days
for most orders, however larger orders may take longer to fulfill.

You will receive an email notifying you that your order has
shipped.
Shipping charges vary per the amount of your order and shipping

If you gave us your email address
during checkout, you should have received an order confirmation email when your
order was placed & package tracking email when your order was shipped. If
you didn't receive these emails, your spam or junk mail filter may have blocked
them. Please look for them in your junk or spam email folders - most email systems
hold these messages in "quarantine" for at least a few weeks.
If you don't find the order confirmation or package tracking
emails, please send an email to support@lumenid.com and we'll respond with your
order status within 1 business day.
